"Her HCG levels were at 190,000, the hope was that after the surgery it should have dropped down drastically moving towards zero, well instead of going down, the HCG levels have almost quadrupled to 795,000 and there is a big mass again growing in her uterus."
Today they are going to have hysterectomy surgery and start a single dose chemo, which is supposed to have a high success rate. This sweet family has 7 or 8 children under the age of 12, I do believe. Please pray for strength and healing and ultimately for the Lord's will to be done. Pray for peace for the whole family. Though such a trying time for this family I am encouraged by their faith. Here is the ending to the email written by the husband:
"We are trusting in God, we know that He is a good God, He is Sovereign and controls every single cancer cell in Scarlett's body. He has known about Scarlett getting Cancer before the creation of the world, that being said, our hope is in Him, we love Him and know He has a purpose in this. May we glorify God in the good time and the extremely difficult times. We've had a lot of mixed emotions in the last week and a half...with the loss of the Baby we thought we were going to have, then emergency surgery, now cancer, then the fact that Scarlett will not be able to bare any more children next week from the hysterectomy surgery. After much prayer, we have decided to have Scarlett have the hysterectomy and to start the single dose chemo tomorrow. This is an extremely hard and painful decision for us both. Through all of this though God has kept our minds and hearts focused on Him,... praise be to Him! We appreciate your prayers."
