Learning to meal plan has been the biggest help to me in preparing dinners for the week. I only learned about this back in February and though I didn't do it very consistently when I was pregnant, it's something I try to do every week now. At the start of each week (although it doesn't always happen on the same day each week), I sit down and plan our menus for that coming week so when I go shopping I can get all the ingredients I need and then I usually only need to go to the store once. I have really appreciated this because then I'm not stumped with what to make for dinner when 4 o'clock rolls around! I have a list of ideas that I can choose from in the morning and plan for dinner accordingly! It's been wonderful and although I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be EVERY week, most of the time it works well. There are just some days when I don't know what to plan for the week and it seems that I've run out of ideas. I often check out allrecipes.com and tasteofhome.com, or I just type in a food in google and see what pops up. I love learning about new recipes, so if you have one that you really like that's not too hard, please send it to me! Here is my menu for this week:
Tonight-Chicken Enchiladas
Friday-Homemade Pizza
Saturday-Roast and Potatoes
Sunday- Roast beef Sandwiches (using leftover meat)
Monday-Chili
Tuesday-Pasta and Green Salad
Wednesday-Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese
Thursday-Veggie Chowder
