Please pray for Moses, he has a nasty cold and in the past he has always gotten an ear infection afterwards. Pray that he won't get an ear infection and his cold will get better. I have removed milk and all other dairy from his diet and so he's been dairy-free for 1 month now. I learned that if a child is prone to ear infections dairy, particularly milk can cause ear infections. Since he started cow's milk he had gotten 2 ear infections in one month so I hope a dairy-free diet will help, if not eliminate them altogether. Thanks!

I finally got around to checking out your blog:-)
Sorry to here about your little boy and his ear infections...removing dairy products for a little while should help. Fermented dairy products, like whole milk yogurt with live and active cultures, are less likely to cause problems because they are easier to digest and therefore less mucous producing. I was prone to ear infections as a child and we drank A LOT of milk. For this reason, I give my boys only fermented dairy products (yogurt, kefir, raw cheese, etc.) and they have never had ear infections.
Garlic is great for fighting off all illnesses. Steep a crushed garlic clove in 2 tbsp. warm olive oil (just stick it on the back of the stove when you are cooking) for about 10 minutes and then give him little tastes of it with a spoon. It will rev his immune system and kill bacteria...but be prepared for garlic breath! ;-)
I think it's neat how we both picked Bible names for our sons...my boys are Elijah and Solomon :-)
