Communion Bread (unintentionally)

Ever forget to add yeast to your homemade bread? This is a picture of some bread I made the other day in our bread maker, but I forgot to add the yeast! Ugh, so it was just like flat bread that you get for communion at some churches. ANyways, I tried using it for things such as PBand J, but it was hard to swallow. We got through about half the loaf and had to toss it. It just wasn't worth it.

Oh no! That's so disappointing. I haven't ever tried to make my own bread. Do you have a good recipe? I don't have a bread machine, but I do have a Kitchen Aid an apparently it works just as good to mix the bread as a bread machine (obviously, you can't bake it in there, though).

I noticed you IM'd me the other day. Sorry I was away from the computer. I didn't notice it until 3 hours or so later.

Candice, we used to joke about having people over for "soup and bread". Nowadays, that's a great meal for company (not this time of year!!!), but when we were first married I barely knew how to make Ramen! My first soups were little more than veggies floating in water. (Doug's gracious comment: "Needs salt.") And I killed more yeast trying to perfect homemade bread -- even the dog wouldn't eat it!

It's good to have those humbling experiences, right!?! :)

Bendiciones! Give a hug to the boys for me!!!
