Another Dead End

I had another consultation with a dr. today. I was misinformed over the phone when the lady I talked to told me that they would do a vbac2. But when I went there she told me hospital policy, 2 c-sections and no previous vaginal birth, automatic c-section. The search for a vbac after 2 cesareans at a hospital has been very difficult. I have had no success yet. Ultimately we're praying for the Lord to speak to us about his will for us. Please pray that God would show us his will and give us peace. It has been quite emotional and discouraging.

I'm so sorry to hear about misinformation you were given :-( I can only imagine how discouraging it is. Is there a mid-wife birthing clinic that is located right by a hospital that might be an option for you? Melissa has given birth at a birthing center both times, but I don't know where it is in relation to the hospital. I would definitely feel more comfortable close to a hospital in case of emergency and I think you agree with that. I'll be praying that something opens up for you very soon! I'll ask my friend Andi who her Dr. is and maybe he would be another option, but it might be the hospital policy that stands in the way:-( Praying for you.

Aw, I'm sorry things have been so hard for you. I am pretty sure Alma Midwifery on 16th and SE Ankeny does VBACs, but I don't know what their policies about it are. So you might want to give them a call if you haven't already. However, it's not super-close to a hospital...I think Legacy Emanuel is the closest, and that's about 10 min. away.

I'm praying for God to encourage you and give you a good birth experience.
